Health Testing & Genetic Screening
At Rebel Rottweilers, the health of our dogs and puppies is our highest priority. We follow comprehensive health testing protocols for all of our breeding dogs to ensure they are free from inherited genetic diseases and physically capable of producing strong, healthy offspring. This dedication reflects our commitment to responsible breeding and the long-term well-being of the German Rottweiler breed.
Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Evaluation: We ensure that all of our breeding dogs have been evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).
Eye Testing: We perform CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) testing to ensure that our breeding dogs do not have any hereditary eye conditions that could be passed on to their puppies.
Genetic Screening: We utilize the latest DNA testing to screen for common hereditary issues in the breed, including conditions such as progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), EIC (Exercise-Induced Collapse), CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy), and others.

We collaborate closely with veterinarians to ensure each puppy’s nutritional plan supports proper growth, immune function, and overall development. In addition to proper nutrition, we recognize that early neurological stimulation is vital to a puppy’s mental and emotional development. Using a proven protocol known as the “Bio-Sensor” program, we gently handle and stimulate our puppies in specific ways designed to enhance their cognitive abilities, immune system, and overall temperament.
